Executive Chef Todd Whitman shares his recovery and treatment journey with Community Assessment Treatment Services. Todd rebuilt his life, career, friendships and family with assistance from our counselors at CATS. He is now an inspiration to many while helping many of the men and women who come through the kitchen at The Sérénité Restaurant & Culinary Institute in Medina, Ohio.
Sérénité is a non-profit organization partnered with the Recovery Center of Medina County. They provide culinary training to students who are recovering from drug or alcohol addiction. Over the course of an eight-month training program, students are paid to attend and have full access to all of RCMC’s programming, case management, and support systems. Sérénité helps to change the face of recovery by providing essential on-the-job training for students and generates revenue to support the recovery center, supplementing the cost of education.
